Hi all.
I have done the first steps for archiving material in SARA(customizing and write). Jobs in job log are finished successfully.
I used MM_MATNR object and everything seems OK. But in write step, in Archive selection, there is no file to choose like below:
What is wrong with it?
Can anyone help me?

I have done archiving for fi_documnt object for a single document number in production mode ,after archiving i opened that document through fb03 t-code and while in screen display document:line item ,if i clicked on withholding tax data "Withholding tax information missing from line item." pop up is coming but before archiving with holding tax details are also displayed.i checked in sare and found that there is data in with_item table also .and i debugged the fb03 and found that it is picking the values from the DB based on conditions.how to display the withholding tax details for the archived,please suggest.

Hello everyone,
We are in the process of archiving MM_MATBEL. We have made all the initial settings for the Archival process, but when we run the archive session, the job finishes and says, ' no data available'. We can able to see the data in transaction code MB51.
For the Write job variant, we have mentioned only the posting period.
Is there anything else to be performed before archiving MM_MATBEL?

I am running the archiving object co_order in test mode ,after the pre-processing job the job log shows 117 records are marked for deletion.and after the write job(test mode),the job log shows only 1 record processed .what about the other 116 record for which the pre-processing is done?.. and i checked in customization and in that residence time 1 is 3 and residence time 2 is blank .i changed the residence time 1 to blank and tried ,still same output is coming.and checked the dependency also.in that mm_ekko,mm_matnr_mm_eban,and pm_funres are the dependent objs .i finished archiving for mm_ekko and mm_matbel and the remainig two objs are not is scope so i moved to co_order archiving.,please suggest a way to archive the co_order.

I'm currently configuring a Data Archiving with XML DAS and find myself a little issue.
When I came across this step (Registering the Store in XML DAS Administration - Data Archiving - SAP Library) which to register a new ILM Store in XML DAS, I keep getting this error message:
- Error while invoking method on the back end; check application log of back-end system: java.lang.Exception: 598 _DEFINE_ARCHIVE_STORES: Testing the archive store TEST failed. Reason: Parsing of the response body failed [reason: internal state error: endTag(multistatus) state(12)].
- Error occurred while defining archive store Test
The store type I'm trying to define is a WebDAV System and I've already define the WebDAV connection in the AS Java Destination.
Can anyone kindly assist me please?

In our ECC system , we had archived Material Document before February 2012. Today we query one Material Document of Deceber 2013., but is shows had been archived. I want to know what can lead to this condition.

Can anyone help me understand if I'm doing the correct way in archiving.
I tried a single PO number
I'm running transaction SARA with archiving Object MM_EKKO.
I Click Customizing and in Data Archiving Customizing (Cross Archiving object - Technical Settings) I set all for default.
and In Archiving Object-Specific Customizing I select Logical File Name Z_Logical_File ( this i created in transaction FILE)
I went through Basis Customizing and double check the Logical File Path (\\10.1.2.101\e$\usr\saparchive\<FILENAME>) attached to Logical File name Z_Logical_File.
Now going back to SARA, i clicked Write and maintained a variant (Click processing option: Production Mode)
Start Date: Immediate, Spool Param: Yes
and Execute
I checked Job Overview and this i found out
I just want to know why the PATH was not located and archive file was not created?
What did i miss?

We are looking for a fast solution to copy an entire company with all its configuration in to a new client while deleting or archiving all transactional data in order to start transactions from scratch. We now an archivng project make take 24 weeks to set up at minimum but we would like to know if there is any simpler way to do this, we are not interested in retrieving the archived information in the future, we only want to delete it from the new system.
Any information will be very helpful.

I'm trying to do archiving under BW 7.01 (EHP 1) with ADK and in a first test everything runs as expected (archive/delete/reload). But in a second test I have a problem with the LOGICAL PATH assignement (technically it points to a non existent directory) so I received an error after executing Write procedure in trx SARA. I proceed to invalidate the archiving session and now it appears in SARA->Management as one of the Invalid Archiving Sessions but my problem begins at this point because after fixing the LOGICAL PATH, when I try to execute the archiving process I repeatedly see that the archiving jobs end without errors after just one second with the following messages:
"Selected area already completely archived - RSDA 226"
"Exception condition in row 235 of include CL_RSDA_DAP_A=================CM007 (program CL_RSDA_DAP_A=================CP) - RSDA 140"
and I cannot find the way to eliminate this and repeat the archive process that was never done.
What can I do to invalidate/eliminate the previous session that did nothing and repeat a new one ?

I have done archiving for the service po s by using archiving object mm_ekko,and service entry sheets corresponding these po's are also got archived .
if i display the archived service po in the transaction me23n ,the order is read from archive . And in the purchase order history tab ,when i click on the invoice receipt a blank screen in getting displayed (ml81n screen) and i tried to open the service entry sheet by doing directly to ml81n and by providing the entry sheet number .there, entry sheet not found error is coming .
How to display the service entry sheet for a archived po .because in sare , in table view i can find the entry sheet number and its details in the tables.please suggest .

I was looking for some bullet points on benefits of archiving .
Importantly , is there any statistics on typical %age of storage space saved when we archive a standard SAP FICO system, like 20 % , 30 % ?
Assuming the current growth of an FICO system is 50 GB per month , if archive is switched on , what shoulkd be the growth rate ?

We've got a lots of obsolete material master, some are used for kinds of orders and some are never used (just created by mistake).
The functional consultant has set "mark for deletion" for those master data to prevent from being used again.
The problem is when end user create orders, they still can select those master data, when the process the order, they are told this master data is not useable. Our end user ask to make those master data disappear when they select.
Master data archiving is highly depend on application data archiving, we do not want to archive 10+ objects to delete just one kind of master data. Is there a simple a way to make the master data disappear when end user select it?

I have created scenario through AR_FACTORY transaction and configured it fully with business checks and read section. Only then I can activate it and all objects will be stored in $TMP package, manualy I could change package assigment for archive object and also I could copy programs to Z* name sapace and place it into my package(in ADK I could change programs for read/write/reprocess/delete on my newly copied Z programs)... But then I have met problem with putting update view and structure of businesskey, which were also genered with SAP namespace and putted into TMP package... So I didn't find any inforamtion or configuration how and where to change this structure and view...The main question is, how to transport scenario from AR_FACTORY?? Is it even possible?

Dear All,
Certain PO need to be archived at first place.
The preproc process has been done. (production mode)
The write process has been done. (production mode)
The delete process has NOT been done.
We can see that the line item in those PO has been marked deleted.
At this moment, can we, and how can we reverse the "write process" ?

After running "Test Mode" for a Material in Object - "MM_MATNR" of transaction - "SARA", found the error in the Log as below -
"
Message no. W4012
The material is used in sales and distribution.
Possible distribution types are:
Delete open sales and distribution documents or archive already completed documents.
"
I found that the related Quotations were already "Completed" & converted to Sales Order Items which were also deleted with the "Reject Reason" selected. In changing Quotations (VA22), the "Reject Reason" could not be selected to delete the Quotation items.
Q1) To archieve the Material Master, is it mandatory to archieve the Quotations first even if these items were already "Completed" in staus ? Is it also required to archieve the Sales Order items as well which were deleted ?
Q2) If Q1 is required, could you explain the processes of archieving Sales Documents in details ? The following link can have some info. but not in details -

Q3) For archieving the related documents such as Sales documents / Purchasing documents / Production orders etc, is the archieving at Header level or Item level ? In a document, there should be some items which Materials are not required to archieve. If it is at Header level, does it mean that the whole document with those unrelated document items will also be archieved and deleted permanently in system ?

Hello experts,
I received this error while running the test after configuring IDoc archiving in my system.
During Write process, I can see the file is stored in the content server, therefore i'm not sure if this have something to do with authorization issue.
I'm running the archiving in Production mode when I received the error.
Any idea how to fix this?
