Has anyone worked on COPA archiving before??

I am using the Tcode SARA to archive business partners using the Contract Object but there is a dump "PARTNER_MISSING" in the method READ_PARTNER_DATA.
if i_partner is initial and i_partner_list[] is initial.
raise partner_missing. "#EC RAISE_OK
endif.
Could you please tell me how is(are) the partner(s) determined here?

Hi All,
I have archived few material documents, I am able to retrive them using the T.code MB51, here there are 3 check boxes at the bottom of the screen.
1. Data base
2. short documents
3. Reread short docs in Archive.
1.can any one let me know from where(from which table) the system will fetch the data and display when we select the check box. "short documents" alone and execute?
2. what is the defference between the "short docs" check box and "reread short docs in archive" check box?

We have serious performance issue while accessing archived data through a upgraded ECC 6 system through SARI tcode.
How to improve the performance? any suggestions....
and Does ECC 6 system use ZARIX* table to store the details about archived data??

Hello MM Experts,
I have a Purchase order which was created on year 2010 and now it has been archived.
When I look at the Archived purchase order I could able to view in item oveview it is attached with Info record and where the info record has Conf. Ctr – XXXX.
The same I can able to view in item detail confirmation tab.
Apart from this I also observe for the same archived PO that an Incoming IDOC which is posting the confirmation where now same IDOC I am not able to view since it is also archived.
My query is that when I select the item and go to -->Environment --> item changes I can able to view only object Confirmation 0001 to 0004 where in my case confirmation 0005 and 0006 is missing?
Can you please let me know how to check why for the Archived Purchase Order confirmations 0005 and 0006 are missing in item changes?

we are currently archiving data from SAP to archive location in Filenet , now we are planning to move archive data to onther tool , please suggest below thing are possible:-
1) Keep filenet and add another tool also
2) Move all a from filenet to another tools and then start rest of archiving to new tool.

Reason for project
SAP is developing a new solution for managing big data volumes called “data aging”. Data aging provides an additional option for database storage optimization and is not meant to replace data archiving. The main purpose of data aging is to relocate passive data no longer needed for daily business from main memory to slower, less expensive partitions within the database. The relocated data is still kept in the same data structures and can be accessed on request. Complementary to the data aging concept SAP is developing a native Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) database store intended for the long-term compliant storage of data.
SAP Information Lifecycle Management is the core component within the suite of SAP solutions for information lifecycle management, which helps customers manage the retention and destruction of data in a live system, and to decommission legacy systems in a legally compliant way while keeping the data available for reporting purposes. Both developments will contribute to a harmonization of the overall IT landscape and to a significant TCO reduction at customer site.
Goal
Goal of the project is to develop new solutions for data aging and compliant ILM database store. I am working on AII data archiving project and have some questions
1) Does SAP provide ILM for AII? When I tried to setup IRM policy for ILM in AII, I found that the /AIN/ARCH object is not in the list of available archiving objects for Business Suit and wondering whether ILM can be used for managing data retention for archived data for AII.
2) Is it possible to add a new object (/AIN/ARCH) in OT_FOR_BS (SAP Business Suite)?

My target is to archive a PO.
T-code ME98 is used.
The "Preproc" is passed without any error message.
In the "Write" action, there is a log message saying "No data corresponding to selection found".
I have set both residence time 1 & 2 to 1 ( by SPRO > MM> Purchasing> PO> Define Tolerance Limit for Archiving )
The PO date is of last year and is not modified since then. The PO has already been completed.
In the variant, the PO number, Purch. Organization is entered.
What would be the possible reason that the intended PO is not archived/selected?

What's the difference when executing ME98 and Rm06EW47?

I have archived PO through RM06EW47 and RM06ED47 . (Ref: http://scn.sap.com/message/14511943 )
Currently, I can view the PO through ME82 but not in ALO1.
May I know if it is possible (and how) to view archived PO in ALO1?

I tried to archive(write) a PO in Test mode by RM06EW47(se38) and RM06EW70(sara) and obtain the follow result.
It looks strange. Should an OSS be opended for this?

Dear Friends,
We have a requirement of archiving equipments. Need some help on the below queries.
Where can I set residence period for the object PM_EQUI... Because there is no option to set residence period in the SARA-Customization screen.
We have crores of Equipments to be archived, and we do not know the exact equipment numbere which needs to be archived. Is there any option in finding out the Equipment numbers to archive, OR is there any better way of archiving?
Any easy method of archiving equipments?
If any one has idea on my queries, Kindly help me out.

Is there a way to know which table will be affected when I run RSWWWIDE program to delete the work items? As in, which table that I should monitor to keep track of the size changes after I run RSWWWIDE? I need to record the before and after size of those specific table after I run the deletion on the work items to see how much space that I can save. Any idea?

I am having a performance issue when archiving a write optimized DSO. The SELECT statement takes a long time, but once data has been selected, the rest of the archiving process flies by.
Does anyone have any experience with WODSO and know how to improve the archiving performance?

Dear Experts,
I have some problem with viewing archived data. I have archived Warehouse TO data using RL_TA object in SARA Tcode. The data is archived. But i'm unable to view the archived data through infostructure. I have activated the infostructure. In SARI => Status, im getting the message, "No analyzable archives available".
Where are the archived files stored? How should i check it?

Hello,
Executing archiving object MM_EKKO, in the pre-processing phase there is 1200 pages of errors, because for one reason or another the PO is not complete enough to archive (this is fine).
The limitation of the Log - Details view is that it only displays the Object (PO number and line item), but you cannot include other details like company code, purchasing org, plant etc. As the job is executed for all company codes, this information is needed so the PO's that need to be fixed can be routed to the correct market.
Does anyone know of any enhancement that can be made to the logs in SARA to include additional data beyond object (PO number and line item).

I wanna archive some materials which are not used anymore. First of all, using SE38, I executed program MMREO001 and then, while running MMREO050 I face this error:
"Structure IBCOMP is not known in the ABAP Dictionary
Message no. BA123
Diagnosis
Structure IBCOMP is contained in the definition of archiving object or
archiving class MM_MATNR. This structure is not recognized by the ABAP
Dictionary in the SAP System.
System Response
Archiving is terminated.
Procedure
If you are using an SAP archiving object, report this information to
SAP. If you are using a customer archiving object or a customer
archiving class, remove structure IBCOMP from the definition of
archiving object or archiving class MM_MATNR ."
